Our Story
Founded in 2021 in Cape Town, South Africa, CheckoutJoy was born from a simple observation: course creators on platforms like Kajabi and Thinkific were losing sales because their customers couldn't pay with local payment methods.
International students wanted to buy courses but were blocked by checkout pages that only accepted credit cards through Stripe or PayPal. In markets like South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia, those aren't always the preferred — or even available — payment options.
CheckoutJoy bridges that gap by connecting LMS platforms with 15+ local payment processors, handling currency conversion, sales tax compliance, and professional invoicing — all through a simple embeddable checkout widget.
